Our AI Technology
Symbol Security uses Google Vertex AI (Gemini) to power certain intelligent features within the Symbol Security SaaS Platform. This includes capabilities Such as enhanced training deliverability and boardroom report documents.
How We Use AI
Any data processed by our AI systems is used solely to provide or improve the application’s functionality for the end-user. Specifically, AI assists with:
- Analyze company simulation results data and produces executive-ready report insights.
- Review policies and look against security benchmarks and provides feedback
- Understand the client training usage and find relevant content based on similarity.
- Indexes content to improve discoverability and search relevance
Data Privacy Commitments
Our use of AI is governed by the following principles, consistent with our Privacy Policy:
- Limited Use: Data processed by AI models is used exclusively to deliver and improve the Symbol Security platform for the benefit of users and administrators — never for unrelated commercial purposes.
- No Model Training on Customer Data: We do not use, transfer, or share customer data to create, train, or improve generalized machine learning or AI models, including foundational or large language models, outside of providing the Symbol Security service.
- Anonymization: Where data informs any proprietary security modeling, it is anonymized and stripped of personally identifiable information (PII) prior to use.
- No Automated Adverse Decisions: Symbol does not use AI to make automated decisions that carry legal or significant consequences for individuals, such as employment-related determinations.
Google Vertex AI & Responsible Use
Google Vertex AI (Gemini) is bound by Google’s own responsible AI and data governance standards. Symbol’s use of this technology complies with applicable data processing agreements and ensures that any data submitted to Vertex AI is handled in accordance with our contractual obligations to Subscribers and with applicable privacy law.
